Online Safety Tips for creating a Phil’s Challenge Webpage
In order to protect the privacy of students per the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and classy.org’s directive, please review the following online safety tips:
Online Safety Guidelines
- From the classy.org FAQ, “Classy Supporter Dashboards cannot be created by anyone below 13 years of age. More information about this policy (COPPA) can be found here.”
- Immaculata students may NOT use a school email address to create an online classy.org account because we abide by COPPA.
- Immaculata students age 13+ who create a Phil’s Challenge webpage using a personal email address are advised to follow the safety guidelines below.
- Parents/guardians who create a Phil’s Challenge webpage are advised to follow the safety guidelines below to help keep your child’s identity safe.
Online Safety Guidelines
- Do not post a photo of yourself or your child. A photo is identifying information, especially when it is combined with a location such as our school.
- If you post your or your child’s name, please use a first name only or create a clever nickname. This will limit identifying information.
